Athoscailt na Scoile

A thuismitheoirí agus a dhaltaí,

treochlár leagtha amach ag an Aire Oideachais le treoracha chun na scoileanna a athoscailt ar shlí shábháilte.  Mar chuid de na treoracha, beidh treanáil ag foireann na scoile ar an 31ú Lúnasa ionas go mbeidh oiliúint chuí déanta acu.

The roadmap for the reopening of schools published by the The Minister for Education has provided the guidance and steps to safely re-open schools. As part of that plan, teachers will be receiving the required training on Monday 31st of August.

Tá pleananna go leor idir láimhe anois againn chun an scoil a oscailt ar bhealach a bheidh chomh sábháilte is gur féidir do phobal iomlán na scoile. Cuirfear tuilleadh eolais ar fáil de réir mar is gá agus is cuí.

Seo thíos na dátaí fillte do na ranganna éagsúla.

The following are the return dates for the various Year Groups. Note that Tuesday 1st is a half-day, all other days are full days and Transition Years will return on Monday the 7th. Students’ phased return is to allow for appropriate induction (for each year group) for the necessary changed practices and routines which will have to be implemented in our collective efforts to keep the Coláiste Covid-19 free.

Máirt 1ú / Tuesday 1st – Bliain 1 (First Years only, half-day 9:00-13:20)

Céadaoin  2ú / Wednesday 2nd – Blianta 1,3 & 6

Déardaoin 3ú / Thursday 3rd – Blianta 1,3,6 & 5

Aoine 4ú / Friday 4th  – Blianta 1,3,6,5 & 2

Luan 7ú / Monday 7th – Idirbhliain

  • Daltaí Ardriosca: Má tá tuistí ansin le buairt faoina mhac/íníon mar dhaltaí a bheadh i mbaol/ardriosca agus go gceaptar go mbeadh dúshlan ag an dalta filleadh ar an scoil, an féidir leat dul i dteagmhail liom ag brian.omaoilchiarain@gretb.ie agus is féidir linn plean tacaíochta a chur le chéile.
  • Masc Aghaidhe agus Scáthlán aghaidhe:
    – Caithfidh bailiúcháin masc aghaidhe a bheith ag gach dalta (Earra aon uair nó in-nite). Beidh éileamh ar na mascanna seo agus molaimid díobh iad a cheannach go luath. Ba cheart go mbeadh an masc gan phatrún/íomha nó scríobhneoireacht air.
    – Tá scáthlán aghaidhe molta ach níl sé riachtanach. B’fhéidir go mbeidh duine níos compórdaí ag caitheamh scáthlán aghaidhe in ionad maisc. Tá sampla anseo https://jps.ie/product/anti-spitting-face-shield-with-glasses-frame/
NÓTA: Sa treoir is déanaí ón Roinn, tá caitheamh na clúdaigh/mascanna aghaidhe éigeantach, más mian le duine Scáthlán a chaitheamh freisin (le masc) – is fúthu féin sin.
  • Díghalrán Lámh: Ba cheart go mbeidh buidéal díghalrán lámh ag gach dalta. Beidh sé ar fáil ar na pasáistí agus i ngach seomra freisin.
  • Éidí Scoile:
    Tá an éide scoile éigeantach.
  • At Risk Students: Can I ask parents that have a son/daughter that they feel would fall into a high risk category, and think that it may not be possible for them to return to school safely, to contact me brian.omaoilchiarain@gretb.ie so that we can make arrangements to support the student.
  • Face Masks and Visors:
    – Students must have a supply of face masks (disposable or washable). We would advise that these are purchased soon and should be plain without patterns/writing/images etc.
    – Face visors are advised but not essential. A student may wear a visor instead of a mask if they feel it to be more comfortable. A typical face visor is attached here. https://jps.ie/product/anti-spitting-face-shield-with-glasses-frame/

(*NOTE subsequent guidance from the DES stipulates that the wearing of facemasks is now mandatory and that a Visor can also bee worn with the facemask but NOT instead of a mask)

  • Hand Sanitiser:
    – All students should carry a small hand sanitiser. All corridors, entry/exit points and classrooms will have sanitising stations.
  • School Uniform:
    The school uniform is compulsory.
