Seán Ó Conaill (589 points) was among the recipients at a Celebration of Excellence ceremony at which NUIG President, Prof. Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh presented the top 2% of NUIG new entrants (all of whom attained a minimum of 560 CAO points), with Excellence Scholarships. In all, the achievements of 76 recipients from 17 Counties were acknowledged.
