Sean Ó Gaibhneáin of Coláiste an Eachréidh Athenry was among Ireland’s top 100 young problem solvers who pitted their wits against the languages of the world at the national final of the ADAPT All-Ireland Linguistics Olympiad at Dublin City University on 24 March 2015.

Sean beat off competition from more than 4,000 students from 161 schools in 29 counties to qualify for the national final of the Olympiad. He now eagerly awaits the announcement of the national final results this week. The top four performers will be selected to represent Ireland at the International Linguistics Olympiad in Bulgaria in July 2015. Read More

Cumann Óige Átha an Rí won the Best Contribution to the Irish Language Award ( non Gaeltacht) at the Galway County Council Cathaoirleach's Community Awards 2015 in the Claregalway Hotel on Thursday night.
